General discussion • Extra conectivity on Raspberry Pi 4

Hi all i have a Pi 4 setup with a Cbus hat PCB from Goodwood this is using the Pi4 as an intermediatory device to connect the cbus network through to the network port on the Pi4 this is connected to a PC running Schedule plus to talk to this network port and control the cbus system.
This all works great but I'd like to know if i can also use the Pi4 to interact with this and send it own cbus commands through to the pc as well.
It is setup with this ser2net function to reroute the serial port to the network port....See below text extract from the Pi4
I have already asked here on how to control the gpio ports with very simple on/off commands, and i can sort out that part ok. But how do i then get that information of the gpio port status to the connected pc to use. If its even possible.
