The modern Raspberry Pi OS - Trixie - doesn't use wpa_supplicant, it uses Network Manager. That's controlled with nmtui to define everthing you need for WiFi.
Try logging on an running sudo nmtui. Fill in your WiFi credentials and it should just work.

For wpa_supplicant you can run that from a command line using sudo wpa_cli.
