Oh, I am using an old Hyper Terminal and using it to send receive raw (text) files.
But it reached decent speeds on receiving (capturing to file) and I haven't had problems when sending with it large files (2-4MB) in the far past to a real com port (or FTDI virtual one) (but I don't have exact speed records from then)...
I don't know if it matters, but I have the baud set to 115200... which is around 14.4kB/s, (with the additional start and stop bits) which is around what I saw... I didn't see any effect from it on receiving so I didn't try to change it.
No effect from changing it to 921600 bps.
I might try a C program accessing the com port later (instead of Hyper Terminal).
