Raspberry Pi OS • Re: Minicom does install but does nothing when entering minicom.

I use minicom for the following reasons:
Connect to my retro computers with a serial interface only. (Scrumpel 6809, 68hc11,z80 and SC/MP)
Using ANSI collours .
Transfer files to my retro computers as intel-hex.

I don't know any other program in linux that can do this.
I'm aware of screen that it can do serial I/O also, but I cannot "feed" my retro computers with the needed software using Intel Hex transfer or normally ASCII transfer..
Thanks for your help but one thing is obvious minicom is behaving different than in the older raspberry os-ses.
