Yes it will be fine and yes you do need to use sudo
Presumably trying to run Imager 2.0 on a X86-64 PC running Linux Mint, which should be fine.
The problem being encountered is that the Imager "Appimage" needs to be run as root, so possibly using sudo?
(I've never used Mint, or an "Appimage", so don't know the best way to run it.)
I take it that the OP has downloaded imager 2 (imager_2.0.0_amd64.AppImage) to somewhere on his Linux mint machine, if so, the easiest way to run it is this, open a terminal and type:
Code:
sudo path/to/imager_2.0.0_amd64.AppImageEnter the password when prompted and imager 2 should open on the desktop, do not close the terminal.
