I have the following problem with the unattended-upgrades apt on my Debian system that is installed on Raspberry Pi:
After the installation and configuration the program itself is running smoothly without any problems but the feature that allows you to have sent to your email address notifications about upgrades or any changes that happen to the system is not sending emails as it should even though the mail program (I am using ssmtp) is working and functioning outside the apt.
The error I have is: your-email@example.com is not allowed to send as root@localhost.
Any chance that anybody has encountered this kind of error?
And know how to deal with it?
