IIRC the answer is "Yes, but..."
A CM5 in a CM4 carrier board has no exposed USB 3. It also looses a CSI and DSI connector as those are used on the CM5 to pass USB3. Yeah that implies it might be possible to use one CSI and one DSI port on a CM4 carrier board for USB 3 but I've not seen any one do it yet.
