Can you test using a decent USB3 Pendrive as your drive.
The Pi5 is happy to boot off that, you can install to it using Network Install if you have an ethernet cable, and a keyboard/mouse, no need for PiImager on a PC.

That rules out the uSD setup for whatever reason and would give some feedback.

Where did you get the Pi from? No idea if that matters.

Do you have a copy of the files/videos not playing well? You have the Pi Engineers in this thread and they can test help out, so can we volunteers.

But Python segmenting out is not normal.

Memory problem, was this on both Pi5?

For the record I have 30 odd Pi5 in a college with students, they are not that gentlest on the Pi5 and dangle and reconnect the uHDMI and USB-C connector all the time. They have not damaged them yet.
We don't use adaptors, but 1m and 2m long official and near enough uHDMI -HDMI cables. I think the 2m are official and the 1m 3rd party

So hopefully it is just a one off for you with the uHDMI.
At least you have a backup uHDMI port to use :P
