Exact error messages could help a lot,

I am not so sure, but here you are:-

When running the planet demo the Processing console displays the message;-

The sketch has been resized from 1024x768 to 1024x684 by the operating system.
This happened outside Processing, and may be a limitation of the OS or window manager.

Also I need to add that processing runs only once every time i install it. It does not survive a shut down of the PI. On restart I get an error message popup which does not copy so I can't send you the exact text. But it is complaining about a missing file.

Since the advent of bookWorm netatalk does not work any more and so I am reduced to transferring documents between my Mac and Pi through a memory stick. Maybe there is a way of making a screen dump of a pop up window?
