I suspect what you have is a field upgraded 2GB Pi5. There's been a few reports of those on here recently. I'd advise against updating the bootloader EEPROM as that may turn it into a brick.
If it were me, and the field upgrade wasn't mentioned in the listing, I'd be sending it back as it isn't as described. If it was in the description, well, you've learned an important lesson: only buy from official resellers.
