but I saw someone doing this in a video and it worked flawlessly.

Videos can be faked though I'm not saying it was. There can often be more to it than is shown in the video too.

As I said above, the best place to ask for help is the author of the website/video you saw.
what do you mean with "Not the WoR project. Not RPL. Not Microsoft. Not anyone on here."?

Where do I start?
  • The Windows on Raspberry (WoR) project were one of the first groups to try to get Windows running on PI hardware dropped support for Pi some years ago. They're focusing on, IIRC, Rockchip SBCs.
  • Microsoft only release Windows for a subset of Qualcomm CPUs/SoCs. Pi use Broadcom SoCs. You're not going to get any help from MS with running their closed source OS on anything other than that specific set of Qualcom ICs.
  • RPL staff on here (and elsewhere) have clearly stated that WIndows is not a supported OS. That means they won't be producing drivers for, answering questions, etc. about Windows on Pi.
  • The majority of long term, knowledgeable posters on here are aware of the problems (missing drivers, poor performance of x86 code, etc.) and many of the hoops that need to be jumped through and don't consider it worth the effort.
  • Then there's the cost of a Windows license. At retail pricing that's over $100 US.
So did I question for nothing?

Almost certainly, yes.

If you really want to try running Windows on a PI take a look at https://github.com/Botspot/bvm. That runs it in a VM under Linux which shortcuts some of the problems. Expect any application that have not been compiled for ARM to run 7 or 8 times slower than ARM version and it ain't fast to begin with.
