I tested my DisplayLink v1 display (MIMO VUE UM1080-CP) with labwc only this afternoon, and it worked perfectly. wlroots handles multiple DRM cards far better than X ever did.When I was using DisplayLink v1 with my Pi 3B to have dual-monitor usage I was perfectly happy with that.Having used Displaylink v1 and v2 adapters with windows I have to say that v2 is fine for desktop use.
Unfortunately something broke with the introduction of Buster and things have never worked properly since - viewtopic.php?t=265727
I can't say anything about the V2s as I don't have one, and as they involve out-of-tree drivers I'm not interested in investigating.
