My main - and only, until testing Ubuntu yesterday - OS has been PiOS Bookworm. 2024-03-15-raspios-bookworm-arm64-full.img.xz
If I flash a new sd with my PiOS image, I get 1080p until I update, and 1024x768 after updates.

I don't have another Micro-hdmi to mini-hdmi cable to test with, nor do I see how that could make a difference when reverting to the not updated os makes it work again?
