Just a quick one: what exactly is the scope of your measurement of PWM duty ?
I am asking because it might become irrelevant or even misleading in your case.
If you want to measure/estimate the energy consumed, you need to integrate the whole waveform, for which you can use a voltage divider and ADC, or better, use an external IC specialized for that.
PWM interaction with the camera (through flatpanel) is a little bit complex.
(it happens that I have some collateral knowledge of astrophoto preprocessing)
