To add to the above project/method, I would guess the good old OctaPi my still work


Still a good old fashioned central controlled cluster.
Pro, Backed by the Raspberry Pi foundation and GCHQ
Cons, you're running it above spec and need some LED's

I find it a nice project, especially in the sense that it's not just buy the hardware, put it together and configure it, but also about using the hardware to estimate an integral.

The bad news is "phrase your answer using pirate talk" was not involved when the OctaPi tutorial was written. WiFi is also a non-ideal medium for a cluster network fabric.
