My experience is that ADB works pretty well for transferring files to and from Android.But how would you copy files without resorting to a terminal? Graphical things aren't all bad, and there are some applications (like copying files to/from an Android device) where the terminal is impracticalDrag&Drop should be deactivated by default.
I frequently use drag and drop moving windows around on the desktop; however, I make too many clumsy mistakes to enjoy shoveling files around with a mouse, not to mention the fact that my mouse-clicking finger also starts to hurt.
