Graphics, sound and multimedia • IQAudio Dac+

I have an old IQAudio Dac+ that I am trying to get to work with a 3B running the 64 bit Bookworm.

I tried

• vanilla install
• dtoverlay=iqaudio-dacplus
• dtoverlay=rpi-dacplus
• the above with a dtoverlay= before them
• the above with dtparam=audio=on commented out

Regardless the IQAudio does not appear as when using aplay -l or in alsamixer

Anyone able to shed some light on this?
