So I should not use the debian rules since they are broken. All files are copyright, but generally licenced with an open source licence.meanwhile....
I found that this file is copyright protected:
https://github.com/RPi-Distro/linux-pac ... pyright#L6
It seems there is no uscan needed at all?
The headers of that file say it is GPLv2 - https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/ ... 5-script.h
Admittedly that is due to a cleanup patch that added the GPLv2 licence to all files without any licence declared. That was 8 years ago, so it's possible that the Debian rules are out of date in comparison.
How would be the correct way to build debian packes?
Can you provide the build steps?
