UPDATE: I tried another test where I used the microPython Client code to send to the C++ Server code (posted above). It seems the Server/receiver is receiving a valid message after all. So the problem seems to lie with the C++ Client/sender code. I am now looking into what I may have missed on that end before I add anything to this posting.
I have changed the C++ Server code to clean up the received microPython sent message, but that is temporary until I make further progress on the above mentioned issues. More later...
