Anyway what i got is that you all agree it is not very likely that the problem is the power supply and the most rated guilty party is the adapter. I can't find any data about that but it's a random amazon one so no surprises.

The SSD is a WD BLUE 250GB model WDS250G2B0A-00SM50Without out knowing the chip set of your SATA adapter (and, maybe, the SSD size and make) one cannot discount it "being the problem". FWIW I have had several P4B's and a P400 booting from a USB-to-SATA connected SSD - historically ASMedia chipsets, more recently Realtek using a "standard" P4 PSU. (links to more details below**). What else is connected to the Pi's USB?
