There is raw disc access but not for USB connected drives.
Last time I tried it eSATA and SATA support was there though.
Not sure about USB pass through. That's on today's list.
I'm pretty sure that using usbip (as mentioned by redvli) might do what I want, but that doesn't solve my problem, which is a much more friction-free, (nearly) geek-free method of accessing raw USB disk access from WSL. To quote a great movie line, "I can dream!".
