Compute Module • Re: Measurement of current to GPIO Vref in Com5 module

Because the already existing FPGA and other peripherals are running on 2.5V. The datasheet also provides input high/input low values for GPIO Vref = 2.5, so my understanding was that it is allowed to have a 2.5V GPIO VRef. We are aiming to integrate the RP5 COM5 module into our existing design without making major changes downstream.

Just to be clear, I am planning on having an LDO on the 5V buck converter that powers the RP5.
I See, that's a commercial development -> nothing else left for me to do.

And sure, one can use 2.5V on the GPIO. Just wasn't aware that you're a professional, doing a commercial product development. That's why is asked 'why' you want to do that. If I would have been aware that this is for commercial purposes I wouldn't have bothered answering/asking.
