Compute Module • Powering a CM4 carrier board through USB-C

I am designing a custom carrier board for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 and would like to power it through a USB-C connector.

I am unsure about how the USB-C CC1 and CC2 pins should be connected. The CM4 documentation mentions connector pins 94 and 96 as analog inputs usually conected to cc pins, but I am not sure whether these pins are intended to be connected directly to CC1 and CC2.
I would also like to know whether the CM4 can negotiate 5 V at up to 5 A by itself.
Thank you.
