Troubleshooting • Re: Pi 5 8gig reliability

Afternoon all,

How are people finding the reliability of the Pi5 8 gig. I have used a Pi400 before and was excited to get a new 5 but have had consistent issues with the unit.
I am running it with a NVME using a Samsung 250gig and have the pi active cooling system in place. Using the off the shelf Pi 5 power supply

The unit regularly resets its self or freezes entirely and now it boots up and is not responsive to keyboard or mouse. The screen will go from the desktop to white and then I have to pull out the power.

I have tried flashing the drive, running from USB and sd but the system continues to crash.

I wanted to get a 500+ but am not hearing good things about that either. Any advice/comments??
Forgot to mention the OS. I am running Trixie and keep it updated as much as possible.
Going to try a barebones pi and see how that works.
